Florida State 2017

Florida State’s National Championship hopes were dashed in week one against Alabama by losing not only the game but starting QB Deondre Francois to season ending injury. Due to Hurricane Irma postponing the Seminoles second game they have only played twice this season, losing last week to North Carolina State 27-21. Making his first start at quarterback, freshman James Blackmon struggled as the Wolf Pack loaded the box to stop the run and force Blackmon to beat them. Florida St. would ultimately lose the game to drop to 0-2. Any chance for Florida State to make the 4 team playoff means they have to run the table.

Wake Forest 2017

Wake Forest has students and Alumni buzzing with their 4-0 start. They’ve used solid play by Senior QB John Wolford, a strong running game and good defense to dispatch of their first four opponents by an average score of 37-11. Their numbers look great on paper but the four teams they beat look nothing like what they’re going to face from here on out. We have a strong feeling in the end this team will struggle to be bowl eligible.
