The Wisconsin Green Bay Phoenix travel to Indiana to take on the host Valparaiso Crusaders with a bid to the NCAA tournament on the line. These were the 2 best teams in the Horizon League all season. They split in the regular season with both teams winning close games on their home floor. This game will be on Valpo’s home floor where they went undefeated in conference play and lost one game all season. Valpo is led by Sophomore forward Alec Peters who averages 17 points a game. Their other 2 primary scorers are junior guard Darien Walker and fantastic Freshman guard Tevonn Walker. Unfortunately for Valpo Tevonn Walker hurt his knee in the semifinal against Cleveland State and is doubtful. The real reason why Valparaiso is so tough is they are terrific on defense. They rank 23rd in the country in points allowed with just under 60 pts a game and has held 5 of their last 6 opponents under 60 pts. On the other hand Wisconsin Green Bay is also a very good defensive team. They are ranked 42nd in the country allowing 60.7 pts a game. The Phoenix are led by 2 time Horizon league player of the year Keifer Sykes who averages almost 20 pts a game. Throw in fellow senior Greg Mays and Alfonzo Mckinnie and Wisc GB has 3 very nice scoring options as they combined for 53 pts in their 14 point semifinal win over Illinois-Chicago.

Prediction: This game is going to be low scoring and come down to the wire. The loss of Tevonn Walker is going to be felt on both ends of the floor. He is their best perimeter defender and will be missed greatly as they try and slow down Keifer Sykes. Wisconsin Green bay is a senior laden team who has one more shot to make it to the dance after disappointment in recent years. In the end the best player on the floor Sykes will lead his team to a close victory in hostile territory. THE PICK: Wisconsin Green Bay +3

1. Miguel DaSilva:  Miguel killed it last week picking 33 college games and hitting 23 of them for an insane 69.7 win percentage.

2. Mr East:  East was a blistering 17-8 last week, that’s a win percentage of 68%.

3. Jeff Schule: Jeff makes the list again going 9-4 last week, 69.2%. That’s not the reason he’s on the list again. In the last month he’s 44-19! INCREDIBLE!
