MLB | Braves vs Giants

Play on: Giants +125 at GTBets

The Braves have won four straight games and with the Phillies getting rained out last night, they now have a five-game lead in the National League East over Philadelphia. Atlanta has been one of the best road teams in baseball this season as it is 43-30 which is the third best record in MLB and best in the National League. Thus, there prices are adjusted because of it and there seems to be a bit of an overadjustment tonight in what is not as big of an advantage as it may look like on paper. They have lost four straight games when their opponent scored two runs or less. San Francisco is in another funk as it has lost nine straight games with the offense scoring three runs or less in eight of those. That may lead to believe they are at a huge disadvantage against the Braves top starter but that is not the case. Mike Foltynewicz has had a breakout season as he has posted a 2.75 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 27 starts but he has not accounted for many wins as he has just 10 while Atlanta has gone only 12-15 in those games. The Giants have excelled in these spots as they are 17-9 this season against National League starters with a WHIP of 1.15 or better. Andrew Suarez has been decent yet unspectacular but he has been good enough to keep the Giants around in games for the most part. He does have a solid 3.07 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 12 home starts and the Braves are 1-6 in their last seven games against left-handed starters. Here, we play on home teams when the money line is +125 to -125 that are hitting .215 or worse over their last 15 games going up against an opponent with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.00 or better over his last three starts. This situation is 33-14 (70.2 percent) over the last five seasons. Play (964) San Francisco Giants
