After getting shelled last June and July he dusted off his curveball (a pitch he hadn’t thrown since 2012) and finished the season strong, even getting a playoff start vs the Cubs. Now with the curveball fully in his rotation of pitches to go along with a good fastball and nasty splitter, he will improve on last years record of 12-11. The Diamondbacks will be better this season but not in this one. Giants start the season 3-1 off a Samardzija gem as he starts to earn that 5 year 90 million dollar contract he signed.
