Pittsburgh Penguins vs Washington Capitals

Pittsburgh +150 Washington -170 O/U 5.5

After losing the first 2 games at home the consensus was the Washington Capitals were done. They showed signs of life after a game 3 win on the road but immediately went down 3-1 and were again “DONE” Well after winning the last 2 games not only are the Capitals not done, they are heavy favorites to win game 7 at home and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. These 2 teams have tremendous offenses and have not disappointed in this series. There has yet to be a game with under 5 goals but with the total set squarely at 5.5 for each game, the total record in this series is 3-3. In Game 7 we expect the Capitals to try and play fast like they have the last 2 games. The only difference is Pittsburgh has to change their approach in this game and not play the free wheeling approach as well. They are the more tired and injured team and they know they can’t win a shootout at this point of the series. They will play a defensive strategy in this game and try to win a low scoring game. Look for this game to be the first one in the series with under 5 goals. THE PICK: UNDER 5.5

Edmonton Oilers vs Anaheim Ducks

Edmonton +105 Anaheim -125 O/U 5.5

In probably the best series that no one is talking about The Anaheim Ducks also dropped the first 2 games at home and looked done. They then rattled off wins in Edmonton and one at home to look like they would close out the series themselves. After Edmonton scored 7 goals in a Game 6 beat down of the Ducks we have a coin flip situation in Game 7. Generally Game 7’s are played tight and no one wants to make mistakes which leads to 2-1 games. This series is different. The speed these games are being played with are amazing and the goalies can’t hold these offenses down. 6 of the 7 games have not only gone Over, they have gone WAY OVER with 7+ goals scored. Look for more of the same in this Game 7. This is going to be a classic. We may even see it go to Overtime tied at 3 or even 4. Take The Over. THE PICK: OVER 5.5
