Aaron Rodgers is the two-time reigning NFL MVP but this season he lost the services of one of the best receivers in the NFL when Davante Adams left for the Raiders. This season we feel it is a two-man race between Josh Allen of the Bills and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes lost a key piece when Tyreke Hill left for the Miami Dolphins but the Chiefs offense shouldn’t skip a beat with the additions of Ju Ju Smith Schuster and Skyy Moore. Patrick Mahomes is clearly out to prove he is the best QB in the NFL and should have a terrific year.

But our pick for NFL this season is Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills. Allen showed last season that he can be an elite NFL quarterback and with the Buffalo Bills offensive locked and loaded with Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Isiah Mckenzie, and tight end Dawson Knox, Josh Allens will have a breakout season and lead the Bills to the Super Bowl and snag the MVP award.

This is a very interesting award every year and should be again this season as we think it’s a 3 man race between Jonathan Taylor of the Colts, Cooper Kupp of the Rams and Davante Samuel of the Raiders. Cooper Kupp was uncoverable last season as he led the NFL in catches and yards and with his skills and Mathew Stafford’s accuracy his numbers should be off the charts once again. Davante Adams is an elite receiver who has a new team and quarterback. But that quarterback just happens to be his old college quarterback Derek Carr. Carr is poised for an outstanding season so look for these two to put up some crazy numbers.

But our pick for the 2022 – 2023 NFL offensive MVP is Jonathan Taylor. Taylor has a breakout season in 2021 behind the best offensive line in the NFL and with the addition of quarterback Matt Ryan the Colts like a Super Bowl contender. Taylor is the best RB in the NFL and with the threat of Ryan’s arm will have a HUGE season.

The NFL Defensive player of the year is usually reserved for sack specialists and this season will be no different. This race comes down to 3 players for us, TJ Watt, Micah Parsons amd Nick Bosa. In reality the wiiner should be who gets the most sacks and we believe all 3 could hit 20. Our pick is going to the player who has the best defense and secondary around him and that’s TJ Watt. The Steelers are going to have a dominate defense in our opinion and one of the best cover secondaries in the league. Look for TJ to challenge the sack record and win the NFL Defensive Player Of The Year.

The offensive rookie of the year award is usually a crap shoot so you are basically throwing darts if you are betting on this. We are staying FAR AWAY from Kenny Pickett as this award usually goes to a skill player. That being said we are going a little outside of the box and taking someone not on the board above. Garrett Wilson of the New York Jets has shown in training camp that he is already the best receiver on the team and should be the number one target for QB Zach Wilson. With Elijah Moore and Corey Davis Flanking him Wilson should have one on one coverage all season. This kid is special and will be a star.

Aidan Hutchinson is the favorite and he should be. This kid is special and should have a great year. We think he should get around 10-14 sacks but that won’t be enough to win the defensive rookie of the year. We are going back to the New York Jets and predicting an unprecedented Offensive and defensive rookie of the year sweep by the same team. That’s because Ahmed “Sauce” Gardner is a legit Pro Bowl lockdown corner in his rookie season. This kid has all the tools to be special and we predict he will be put on an island from day one and lock down one side of the field.
