Thursday

Patriots could win with you under center: That may be a stretch but it sure seems like if you or I were under center for the Pats, Bill Belichik could devise a one week game plan to get the victory. This week it was a smash mouth football on both sides of the ball. The Patriots ran for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns en route to 27-0 beat down of the Houston Texans covering as 1 point favorites. The total went UNDER 38.5

Sunday 1 pm

Bills Throw A Party At The Expense of The Cardinals: There was a party in western NY on Sunday afternoon and Cardinals fans were left in disbelief. The Buffalo Bills used a fantastic performance by Shady McCoy (110 yards and 2 scores) and a defense that picked off Carson Palmer 4 times to beat Arizona 33-18, winning outright as 5.5 point dogs. The total went over the total of 51.

Broncos are Still The Best: It doesn’t matter if you are a believer or not, the Broncos just keep winning. The defending champs won their 8th straight game dating to week 16 of last year, beating the Bengals 29-17 on the road. The Broncos won outright as 3.5 point dogs. The total went OVER 41.5.

Vikings Defense Does it Again: For the 2nd straight week the Minnesota Vikings faced one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. For the second straight week they were dominate. The Vikings sacked Cam Newton 8 times, once for a safety. The Vikings won outright as 6.5 point dogs winning 22-10 to improve to 3-0. The total went UNDER 42.5.

Sunday 4pm

Eagles Are For Real: No one saw this one coming, not you, not us, not even the Eagles. Philadelphia turned out the most shocking performance of the season thus far, totally dismantling the Steelers 34-3. The Eagles improved to 3-0 winning outright as 4 point dogs. The total went UNDER 46.5

Monday

Old School Falcons/Saints Shootout: When the Atlanta Falcons travel to the Superdome crazy things usually happen and the scoreboard operator has a busy day. Monday night was no different. Defense was nowhere to be found, especially the Saints defense who gave up 217 yards rushing and gave up touchdowns on 5 straight drives. Atlanta won 45-32, winning outright as 3 point dogs to improve to 2-1. The Saints are now a 0-3 and maybe already looking to next year. The total went WAY OVER 54.

Bad Beats

San Diego +1.5 at Indy: This one is pretty cut and dry. The Colts had the ball 4th and 7 on their own 20 yard line at the 2 minute warning. A 4th down stop would not only improve the Chargers record to 2-1, it would drop the Colts to 0-3 and make Charger backers very happy campers with an outright win as 1.5 points dogs. Well Andrew Luck completed a pass to TY Hilton that barely got the first down (The spot was even reviewed) Two plays later… DISASTER! Andrew Luck 63 yard touchdown to TY Hilton and the Colts win 26-22. The Colts improved to 1-2, Chargers fell to 1-2 and Charger bettors saw a victory slip out of their hands by inches.

Handicappers of The Week

Sean Murphy: Sean Murphy had a fantastic week going 5-1. That was good enough to bump him up to the #1 spot as the best NFL handicapper through 3 weeks. Murphy is 15-4 on the season and has won his clients almost 11 grand.

Steve Janus: Janus keeps winning NFL games under the radar. He was 5-1 0n the week. That bumped Janus up to the #2 spot on the season through 3 weeks winning his clients almost 10 grand.

Steve Merril: We usually like our NFL handicappers to at least take 4-5 games for the week. But you can’t get mad at them for only taking 3 when they win all 3. Merril does it again. 3-0!
