9/1/21 Free College Football Pick Citadel VS Coastal Carolina

Coastal Carolina opens the 2021 college football season hoping they can repeat their successful 2020 campaign. They will open the season at home against Citadel as 36 point favorites with the total right around 56.

Coastal Carolina was one of the surprise teams of 2020 going undefeated in the regular season including knocking of BYU and 2nd pick Kyle Wilson before losing their bowl game in OT. Carolina looks to have another good season with most of their main pieces back. Playing FCS school Citadel in the first game should and will be an easy win but this spread is a little too high for me. Citadel played a full spring schedule of 8 games and will be ready to go. They also run the triple option which will take Coastal time to figure out and shut down. Citadel will try to shorten this game by bleeding the play clock after every run and 1 or 2 scores should score us the cover. The Pick: Take The Citadel
