Bengals vs Browns 9/17/20 Free Betting Pick Sports Handicapper Ryan Worden

Week 1 proved disastrous for the Browns who were destroyed on both sides of the ball against the Ravens. The offense looked putrid, only managing 6 points. Week 1 went a little better for the Bengals who’s rookie quarterback Joe Burrow played awful for 3.5 quarters before he showed why the Bengals drafted him. Burrow scored a touchdown on a great scramble up the middle and played well in his last 2 drives, almost leading the Bengals to the win. In the end these two teams combined for a dismal 22 points last week but that was against two very good defenses. This week Mayfield and Burrow will not be under that kind of pressure.

The Browns offense has to play big this week and Mayfield has to be excited to see the Bengals. In his 4 starts against the Cincy, Mayfield has yet to score less than 23 points and has averaged close to 27. The Bengals defensive line is weakened with standout D tackle Geno Atkins out with a shoulder injury. The Browns will be able to run on Cincy with Chubb which will give Baker the time he needs to make plays downfield.

On the other side the Browns defense just looks lost. Having a starting defensive end, outside linebacker and corner out will not help against a very talented rookie quarterback, who has talent all over the field with the return of A.J, Green, to team with John Ross and Joe Mixon. Burrow will be itching to play better against the team he grew up rooting for and against his fellow Heisman Trophy winner.

Another factor for the Over is the lack of a crowd noise for Joe Burrow to contend with and the fact the defenses looked like they needed preseason with all the missed tackles and assignments in week 1. The Over went 10-6 last week and 12 games would have eclipsed this total. I expect these two offenses to play way better against lesser competiion and cash my OVER ticket. The Pick: Take The OVER
