Sunday’s Free NCAAF Pick: LSU Tigers -3.5

I don’t feel strongly enough about LSU to make this a premium play **6-2 Start to Premium NCAAF Plays in 2022**, but knowing that it’s a standalone game, a lot of people are going to want to have some action on this game. My lean would definitely be on the Tigers.

While I think Florida State could surprise a lot of people in year three under Mike Norvell (showed big time improvement as the season went on last year), I got some pretty lofty expectations for LSU coming into this 2022 campaign.

For all people want to focus on Brian Kelly’s struggles in the big games at Notre Dame, the guy knows how to coach and most importantly, win football games.

I like the addition of Jayden Daniels at quarterback. In his 3 years at Arizona St, Daniels threw for over 6,000 yards with a 32-13 TD-INT ratio. He also rushed for 1,288 yards. If a revamped offensive line holds up, LSU could be drastically improved on this side of the ball.

On the other side, there’s plenty of question marks on defense with only 5 starters back and a bunch of guys lost to the NFL. However, there’s top tier talent weighting to play with how well LSU recruits. I think with what figures to be a loud crowd in their favor at the Superdome and FSU being more of a run-first offense, the Tigers will be able to hold the Seminoles in check. Give me LSU -3.5!
